I want to talk about some tips and tricks that have helped me maintain a balanced lifestyle and stay active. It all started when I was about 15 years old and came across a book called Protein Power. This book influenced me and set me on a path toward healthy eating habits.

How Not To Die is another book that I found helpful, as it emphasizes the benefits of eating plant-based foods. Because of these two books, I like to focus on protein and vegetables. By combining these food groups, I can leave some room for processed grains and sugar, without compromising on my overall health.

My biggest tip for healthy eating is to aim for protein and vegetables with every meal. While I don’t necessarily always eat vegetables for breakfast, I make sure to include protein, as it helps me maintain a healthy balance of muscle and fat in my body. And I know where I can incorporate vegetables into breakfast when I have the time. Avocados on toast and my favorites spinach and zucchini in scrambled eggs. I’ve found that I feel more satisfied and full for longer periods when I eat a protein-rich diet.

Another thing to keep in mind is to avoid excessive carbohydrates, especially if they come from processed foods. While I do indulge in my favorite Asian noodles occasionally, I try to balance it out with more protein and vegetables. By focusing on nutrient-dense foods and avoiding processed carbs, I can fuel my body with what it needs.

As for staying active, I love attending fitness classes at the gym. It’s a great way to stay motivated and on track, without having to devise my own routine. Weightlifting classes like body pump are my favorites, as they help me build muscle and maintain my body composition. I also enjoy spinning and yoga classes for cardio and flexibility training.

When it comes to fitness, finding the right workout clothes can be a game-changer. I recommend investing in comfortable, supportive workout clothes that make you feel good. This can help eliminate any barriers to getting started and make working out more enjoyable.

Finally, maintaining a balanced lifestyle is key to overall wellness. I’ve found that believing in myself and not being too hard on myself is essential. It’s okay to indulge in chocolate cake or take a break from the gym. The important thing is to have a plan and a set of healthy habits to fall back on when you’re ready to get back on track.

Overall, these tips and tricks have helped me maintain a healthy balance of diet and exercise. It’s all about finding what works for you and sticking to it. By prioritizing nutrient-dense foods, staying active, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle, you too can achieve a healthy and fulfilling life.
